Palm Beach Daily News real estate reporter Darrell Hofheinz won a first-place writing award in the annual Florida Press Club Excellence in Journalism competition. Hofheinz took the top honor in the general news writing category and won a third-place award for business writing at the 2022 awards ceremony Saturday in Daytona Beach. His work was eligible for the Class C category, which included newspapers with circulations of fewer than 15,000. Politics and Business Editor Antonio Fins of The Palm Beach Post won two first-place awards in the contest, both in the Class A category, which included newspapers with circulations of 40,000 or more.
