WELLINGTON — The village's Sprouts Farmers Market will sell its last groceries at the end of April. It is one of 11 stores the supermarket chain is closing nationwide for being "too big" and not making enough bucks. The store, on State Road 7 between Southern and Forest Hill boulevards, will shut down April 30. Until then, it will continue operating regularly from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. It opened to huge crowds in May 2019. The Phoenix-based company said in announcing the closings that the Wellington store is over 30,000 square feet and underperforming financially.
