Palm Springs Police hosted a National Night Out event Tuesday at the Palm Springs Power Baseball field. The department's SWAT team Search and Rescue Unit and Mounted Enforcement Unit were there to interact with the community. National Night Out is a nationwide initiative aimed at enhancing the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve. It provides an opportunity for residents to come together, get to know their local police officers, and learn about the various specialties and resources available within the department.
